Exploring our property

We have so many woods, I want to eventually clear out a “nature trail” of our own here. I mentioned this to Soren and told him I’d pay him per yard to clear the brush away, so we could get started. This led to the children forging a path down into the woods, across a fallen log, and into a dry creek bed where they made all manner of discoveries.

  1. Aunt Carol says:

No need to clear a path; children, like other forms of wildlife, will repeatedly use the path of least resistance and form a perfectly good trail that leads around and between obstacles in the woods. The trail will not be as wide as one in a public park, but it will certainly be usable by all who wish to traipse through the trees.
