quick fix

My nightstand always looks messy because there are always a pair of shoes or a purse or something under it. I got sick of looking at it so I made a super quick skirt for it.

I took a thrifted sheet, and cut along the edge with a small seam allowance.

Then I measured the amount needed to reach the floor(ish) and cut along the length of both hemmed sides of the sheet. I sewed them together to make one long strip, then gathered it on my serger and attached it to the rectangle.

It’s a three sided skirt because the table has a drawer. So I tacked the sides to the front edge so it would stay on better.

And it should cover a multitude of sins. Or at least the messy underneath of my nightstand.

Ooo, I like it very much. đŸ™‚ I’ve been thinking for two years of doing a skirt for my bedside table, but have yet to actually do anything. Maybe once we get the room painted…

    Lovely! Nice work.
