Oh, so now *I’m* in charge?

After having nursed the baby several times, fed the other children, and taken a shower, I finally begin to cook my own breakfast.
Children activate their food radar from the back deck – then make a beeline to the stove, intrigued.
I preempt the inevitable request by saying, “Go away! This is MY breakfast! You already ate!”
Someone mumbles something about lunch and I scoff and shoo.
So the kids trudge back outside.
Moments later I sit down to eat. Soren comes back in.
“Mommy I’m *so* sweaty.”
“Why are you telling me this?”
“Because, nobody is in charge, except you. You’re in charge.”
“Okay. What do you want me to do about your sweat?”
“I want to eat. That helps my sweat.”
