One of Jireh’s friends gave her some little spritzers of lotion for her birthday. They have been in high demand around here and Jireh was kind enough to let Christina and Agnes adopt one. They must have been running low because Christina comes into the kitchen telling Agnes, “There’s more now Aggie, I put watuh in heah!” and then sees me sitting there, and assures me most seriously, “It’s not toilet watuh, it’s not.”
LOL. Thanks, I wasn’t even thinking of that, but I suppose I should be glad for small mercies? 🙂
Bad news of the week, my second camera lens has been broken and I needed to order a new one. Now I have no camera at all until the new lens arrives and I am hoping not to have the baby until then!
Soren is now drawing quite passable killer whales, aliens, and race cars, coached by Miriam who fancies herself a budding artist and is “tired of drawing cartoon looking animals and people” and wants to learn to draw “real” looking things. We got some money out of her jar and bought a few learn-to-draw books, which she’s been enjoying (when she’s not crying that it didn’t come out perfectly). Back to the race cars, Soren has been numbering them and the numbers are complete mirror images. I thought it was interesting that he wrote a backwards 0 5 7 and called it “fifty-seven.”
I’m due in just a couple days with #6… got the room and baby clothes and diapers all ready and trying to keep the house neat and laundry done so we stay ready. I am in no rush yet. We’ll see. I’m so looking forward to seeing the dynamic of this new addition, compared to the last time – when I had Agnes, my oldest was barely 5 years old. Now I have a competent 7 year old and 6 year old to help take care of things! And my youngest is over 2 rather than just over 1. This should be good.
We are looking at a really old (but really low mileage) Dodge conversion van for our “upgrade” – we currently don’t have a car that seats 8 and didn’t really have a firm plan to fix it. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, eh? 🙂 It is a groovy looking thing. Will be a beast to drive, but what does one expect once one hits 6 kiddos? 🙂
Well that is my random update for the day. Time to give the kids lunch and then maybe do a small sewing project. 😀
