It’s about that time

Well it’s about the time I start taking pregnancy tests again, so just out of curiosity I went to get a test yesterday. I was with my obviously nine-months-pregnant sister in law and I wanted her to act like she was the one checking out with it. I was pretending to be the checkout lady saying “Girl, I can save you $3.64 right now! You definitely pregnant!” Ah, good times.
Oh, and it was negative.
I also realized that my hair falling out by the handful (as it is now) is not a symptom of early pregnancy, but actually a postpartum occurrence. Trouble was the two were always occurring at the same time before. Ha ha.

I thought for a minute that you were actually prego again. I know it’s only a matter of time ๐Ÿ™‚
Hate the hair loss thing. It sometimes feels like you’re going to end up bald before it’s all said and done.

  7. Ah, my hair began falling out in the handfuls about a month ago (3 months postpartum). Fun times, fun times.

I would be breathing a sigh of relief, if I were you!  lol  My hair hasn’t started to fall out yet, it usually waits until I stop nursing the baby.

well, you already know how i feel about the hair loss thing…sooooo gross. black hair on my white bathroom floor…i should find something useful to do with it, you know? like homemade sos pads or something, lol. (kidding!!!)should i congratulate you on the negative pregnancy test or wish you better luck next time? we need to raise little Catholic armies here, lady! get to work!

oh, and you should check the dollar store for pregnancy tests. that’s where i get mine.

You had me going there for a couple of sentences  ๐Ÿ™‚ Ha ha. And my hair falls out a few months postpartum as well. And *then* at about 12-15 months postpartum, I grow a new hairline, and those shorter hairs stick up and are hard to tame so for the second year of my kiddos’ lives I just have baaaaaaaaad hair.

Looking at your profile pic makes me feel tired.

  13. I second the suggestion to get pregnancy tests at the dollar store. Just as accuate! I get mine at the Dollar Tree.

  14. And that was supposed to say “accurate.”

  15. I know, Sa, he is a different kind of baby. He’s a real person. And he’s just perfect. I really miss you. You have to experience my one and only happy newborn!
And as far as cheap pregnancy tests- I had bad luck with that, remember? A false positive last memorial day.

  16. MaMaMollisa says:

Whoa… hair falling out?  I never had that happen.  But thank you for warning me in case it does.  That would have freaked me right out!!

  17. tolovemercy1 says:

false positive pregnancy test? wow–i’ve heard it happens, but haven’t ever heard someone say it happened to them. how crazy!

  18. the cheapies are just as accurate as the more expensive ones, but they might be more prone to evap lines (not the same as a false positive, but if you don’t know to look for it, you might read it as one). Strangely enough though, I’ve never gotten an evap on the dollar tree tests, but have gotten them on the more expensive brands. Go figure!
