He looks incredibly sweet in that big boy bed.

  2. I love when babies are so deeply asleep that one can move them or pick up a limb and drop it, yet the baby will keep sleeping. Cute.

  3. i want him. send him to live with me.

  6. So, what is your morning routine or what are your rules for the kids? Do they have to stay in bed until you get them (a rule I’ve heard some moms give their early risers)? Although, I seem to recall that your kids sleep to a nice, reasonable hour, so maybe you don’t have to worry about them waking you up at 5:00 a.m. What do you think Soren will do now that he has freedom to leave his bed?

  7. I try to get up about 20-30 minutes before they usually wake up (they wake up around 8am). If they wake up earlier, I send them back to bed. If they wake up within a few minutes of me I let them get in my bed until we get up. Usually Dave makes breakfast so they follow him to the kitchen if they are up and I take my shower and take over from there. Soren likes to stay in bed for a while after he wakes up. He was still in the bed (awake) this morning when I came up to get him for breakfast around 9.

Soren in pastels!  You need another boy!

  9. That’s cute that Soren likes to stay in bed awhile. I have found that John loves to stare at the still ceiling fan. So when he wakes up at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m., I buy some time in bed by propping him in his Boppy pillow next to me to he can commune with the fan and I can keep my eyes closed. He sits there, smiling bashfully at the fan, like he’s having a conversation with it. But after a half hour or so, he’s done with his patience and wants to get out of bed.

So sweet!  I love moving them into their big kid beds.  It makes them seem tiny all over again.
