The other day I was trying to explain the process of digestion to
Miriam, telling her that when she swallows her food, it
goes into her throat, down her esophagus, and into her stomach which is in her belly. (Didn’t
complete the rest of the lesson/process as we were at a mealtime.) I
saw the lightbulb go off and thought, “Great, she got it.”
So
now that she has figured it all out, she goes around telling us how
when she grows up, she is going to eat a lot of food all day long, get
a big fat belly, with a baby in there, and be a mommy.
Well, at least she’s not asking where babies come from, since she knows all about it now.
She’s smart, can’t keep the secret for too long….
That is so funny. My little girl goes around telling people that when she was a little baby she lived in mommy’s tummy and danced and kicked and got the hiccups and then came out. Hmmmm. LOL
lol! well, kaiya said to me just yesterday, “mama, why is your belly big?” i just look down to see what she is seeing and she smirks and says, “you have a baby in there. can i feel it?” i step forward for her to touch and assure her, “no, kaiya, mommy just ate a lot of dinner, there is no baby.” what a blow to the ego…my 3 year old noticed my extension (ie. pot belly).
