The good thing about packing for my parents’ house is that I don’t really need to bring anything… so whatever I forget, will just be purchased or borrowed when I get there. The more important thing is making an inventory of the things I do bring, so that when they get lost in the black hole that is my parents’ living space, I at least know what to replace when I get home. Hmm, on second thought maybe I’ll be packing lighter than I planned.
Well we are leaving early (can’t say bright and early– daylight savings time doesn’t move the sunrise THAT much) in the am and we’ll see how far we get by nightfall. In any case, I probably won’t be blogging until after the weekend. Hopefully we can snap some pics of the kids with their various aunts, uncles and cousins for your entertainment.
Edit:
I was going to mention, last night, our favorite twins, Matthew and Adam, took us out to a great steak dinner at McKendrick’s! They are leaving for seminary at the end of this month and will be away at school for the next several years! We are going to miss you a lot, guys, and thanks SO much for an amazing dinner. Feeding a pregnant woman is no mean feat! (I ordered an appetizer, salad, 14 oz NY strip, and two sides, plus dessert, and the only thing I had left over was half a cheesecake which I finished off today. LOL.)
Tell your dad thanks too.
Woohoo–family road trip.
Thanks to you and your darling husband for quashing my beautiful theory. My revenge will be swift and merciless… *mwaha*
Praying for safe travels!
