Dave has been out of town since Thursday and boy, are we ready to see him today! I think this is the first time since we have 3 kids that he has been away from us. I guess I do go away without him, but then I have my family around so it’s not 24/7 uninterrupted neediness directed at me. Somehow even after putting them to bed and having them fall asleep, I ended up with one or more kids in my bed before morning… not that I was sorry for the company, to be honest!
Anway – it’s been busy, and today we are cleaning up from our big weekend. I actually did get a bit of sewing done – made myself a maternity dress for church and I finally (now that it’s almost August 
) started on the girls’ summer dresses which I bought fabric for in February! (I will post pics when they are done!)
Speaking of traveling, we are going to visit my folks for a while, and we are leaving in less than 2 weeks. So that is the answer to all you who keep asking me when I’m coming to visit! I will have the car, so line up your bids for visitations and we will try to make the rounds this time. I guess I will be spending the next week or so just getting ready for the trek. It’s quite an ordeal for me, if only mentally, to get ready for a big trip like that. But we only do our pilgrimage twice a year now, so it’s worth it.
Can you believe I haven’t even seen Soren yet this morning? Miriam gave him his bottle for me and when I went to check on him he was sleeping again! I hear him cooing on the monitor so I better go bring him down now.

3kids and no daddy around…..sounds exhausting! Glad Dave will be home soon.So you’re coming to visit! YAY! Let me know the dates you’ll be here. I was planning on going into Brooklyn in the next couple weeks anyway to visit, maybe we can coordinate.
I feel for you with no hubby for a few days, but the upside is cooking is much easier and you may get to bed earlier. I am sure you are glad to see him!
I hope your reunion was blessed. Our’s always are. Joe has been home for a couple weeks with no travel and we are spoiled. He leaves tomorrow but only for 2 nights. We’ll be sad though!
